Track and Field has two individual winners at Wilmington Invitational

WILMINGTON -- The Heidelberg University Track & Field team traveled to Wilmington College Invitational on Saturday. The men's team finished sixth of 13 participating schools, while the women finished fourth of 14 participating schools. Both squads had several top-five individual finishers on the day, including two female single-event winners. 

Men's Shot Put … Josiah Brown finished in fourth with a throw of 13.55m.

Men's 100 Meter … Travis Bolden sprinted to a fourth-place finish in the 100, clocking 11.34.

Men's 400 Meter … Brody Chapman found himself in fifth place with a time of 52.09.

Men's 110 Hurdles … Zach Taylor finished fourth with a time of 16.22.

Men's 400 Meter Hurdles … Zach Taylor finished second at 58.73.

Men's 4 x 400 Relay … The four-man team composed of Tyreese Clerveau, Brody Chapman, Jax Lytle, and Cameron Long finished third on the day with a time of 3:40.53.

Men's Long Jump … Travis Bolden was third in the long jump with a mark of 5.88m.

Women's 200 Meter … Brianna Braatz with a first place time of 25.73.

Women's 400 Meter … Brianna Braatz posted a fourth-place time of 1:00.84.

Women's 100 Hurdles … Lexi Wachtman came in second with a time of 16.62.

Women's 4 x 400 Relay … the team of Ariana Hewitt, Kenzie Smith, Gretchen Donley, and Ana Henderson was the fifth-place quartet, posting a time of 5:08.04.

Women's High Jump… Lexi Wachtman and Ella Jacobs cleared the bar at 1.47m, finishing second and third respectively. 

Women's Pole Vault … Kenzie Murray vaulted into first with a mark of 3.04m.

Women's Long Jump … Lexi Wachtman came in second with a jump of 5.10m.

Women's Shot Put … Amelia Lewin was the runner-up, with a throw distance of 11.35m.
