OBERLIN, Ohio -- Two big innings proved costly for the Heidelberg University Baseball team in a 10-2 non-conference setback at Oberlin on Wednesday. The Yeomen scored three in the first and five in the sixth to take control of the contest.
Heidelberg dropped to 14-21 overall.
The Student Princes scored single runs in the third and fifth. In the third,
Kyle Krummen led off with a double down the left field line and scored on a sacrifice fly by
Braedy Limke. In the fifth,
Theo Walsh took home on a potential double steal.
Sam Schneider,
Logan Walpole and Krummen had two hits apiece.
Heidelberg travels to Marietta for a Saturday twinbill along the banks of the Ohio River.
