Big innings sink Baseball

OBERLIN, Ohio -- Two big innings proved costly for the Heidelberg University Baseball team in a 10-2 non-conference setback at Oberlin on Wednesday. The Yeomen scored three in the first and five in the sixth to take control of the contest.

Heidelberg dropped to 14-21 overall.

The Student Princes scored single runs in the third and fifth.  In the third, Kyle Krummen led off with a double down the left field line and scored on a sacrifice fly by Braedy Limke.  In the fifth, Theo Walsh took home on a potential double steal.

Sam Schneider, Logan Walpole and Krummen had two hits apiece.

Heidelberg travels to Marietta for a Saturday twinbill along the banks of the Ohio River.
