GAME ONE: BW 15-17-0 | BERG 1-3-2 (5 Innings)

After two scoreless innings, Baldwin Wallace broke the tie with a nine-run outburst in the third. In the bottom half, Megan Miller singled to right field and advanced to second on a Sammie Trimpey sacrifice bunt. Leah Arnett followed with a hard-hit single to bring Miller home, putting the Student Princes on the board.

The nationally ranked Yellow Jackets added six more runs over the fourth and fifth innings to secure a run-rule victory in game one.

GAME TWO: BW 8-12-3 | BERG 5-8-2

Baldwin Wallace jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first two innings. Abbie Marshall responded with a double, then moved to third on a fielding error as Lillie Robeson reached first. Jade Torres followed with an opposite-field single to right, driving in Marshall and cutting the deficit to two.

Down by three again in the third, Sammie Trimpey singled and stole second—maintaining her perfect mark on stolen base attempts. After a Leah Arnett groundout advanced Trimpey to third, Ellie Tressler reached on a fielder's choice, plating another run for Heidelberg.

The Student Princes continued to chip away in the fourth. Marshall reached on a dropped fly ball, then advanced to second. Torres reached on a fielder's choice, and Miller got on via another error. With runners on second and third, Trimpey delivered a single to left, driving in Torres. As Trimpey stole second, Miller came home on the throw, narrowing the score to 5-4.

In the seventh, Heidelberg rallied again. Arnett doubled to right and, after a flyout by Tressler, Gabbie Stallbaum singled through the right side to drive in Arnett. The Student Princes' comeback came up short, falling 8-5 in the nightcap.
