ALLIANCE -- Despite a career-high 26-point performance by Morgan Altenburger, the Heidelberg University Women's Basketball team was defeated by Mount Union, 107-70. Altenburger's points came on 10-of-15 shooting from the floor, and 6-of-8 from the line.

The Purple Raiders took control of the game by shooting 14-of-16 (87.5%) from the floor in the opening quarter, including 4-of-5 from long range.  The hosts led 37-20 after one and 55-35 at half. 

Mount Union added to their lead in the final 20 minutes, defeating the Student Princes for the seventh straight time.

Chloe GIlbert added 16 points while Emma Keto contributed 11. 

Altenburger had a team-high eight rebounds.  

Heidelberg returns to action on Wednesday, playing host to John Carroll. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
