TIFFIN -- The Heidelberg University Men's Lacrosse team fell to Muskingum on senior day, 13-4.
Tyler Alexander scored two goals while
Benjamin Evans and
Jacob Brickman each tallied one in the loss.
Heidelberg falls to 4-12 overall, 1-7 in the OAC. Muskingum improves to 9-7 overall, 3-5 in conference play.
Muskingum opened up the game scoring four goals in the first quarter of action.
Tyler Alexander scored the first Berg goal on a breakaway in the second quarter, cutting their deficit to 4-1. After the Muskies responded with two goals, Alexander netted his second of the game for Heidelberg.
Muskingum added two more before the half, taking a 8-1 lead into the break.Â
Just under two minutes into the second half,
Benjamin Evans laced one in the back of the net making the score, 8-3. A mere 1:25 later,
Jacob Brickman scored from the left side, cutting the deficit in half with 10 minutes left in the quarter.Â
The visitors added three more goals before the end of the third quarter, taking the 11-4 advantage into the final quarter. Muskingum added two more goals in the fourth, making the final score, 13-4.
Wilson Runnette notched a game-high 20 saves in the loss for Heidelberg.Â
Sonny Varrati and
Braxton Hammond each totaled four ground balls.
Heidelberg will be back in action Wednesday as they host Baldwin Wallace in the season finale at 7 PM.Â
