TIFFIN -- Playing at unfamiliar Frost-Kalnow Stadium because of the Tiffin Track Carnival taking over Hoernemann Stadium, the Heidelberg University Men's Lacrosse team dropped a conference contest with Otterbein, 14-2.
Heidelberg slipped to 4-11 overall, 1-6 in the OAC. Otterbein improved to 7-6, 4-3.Â
Otterbein took a 3-0 lead into the second quarter, but Heidelberg scored early in the period.
Mason Lambert took a pass from
Tyler Alexander and buried it for his first collegiate goal. Â
The Cardinals scored the final five goals on the second and the first two goals of the third quarter, taking a 10-1 lead.Â
The Berg found another tally in the third. Near the five-minute mark,
Rayce Septer fed
Trevor Ley for the goal. Â The Cardinals scored the final four goals.Â
Wilson Runnette, a Siggy Awards finalist, made a season-high 23 saves in the game.
Heidelberg visits John Carroll on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. game.Â
