MLAX tripped up at Frost-Kalnow

TIFFIN -- Playing at unfamiliar Frost-Kalnow Stadium because of the Tiffin Track Carnival taking over Hoernemann Stadium, the Heidelberg University Men's Lacrosse team dropped a conference contest with Otterbein, 14-2.

Heidelberg slipped to 4-11 overall, 1-6 in the OAC. Otterbein improved to 7-6, 4-3.

Otterbein took a 3-0 lead into the second quarter, but Heidelberg scored early in the period. Mason Lambert took a pass from Tyler Alexander and buried it for his first collegiate goal.

The Cardinals scored the final five goals on the second and the first two goals of the third quarter, taking a 10-1 lead.

The Berg found another tally in the third. Near the five-minute mark, Rayce Septer fed Trevor Ley for the goal.  The Cardinals scored the final four goals.

Wilson Runnette, a Siggy Awards finalist, made a season-high 23 saves in the game.

Heidelberg visits John Carroll on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. game.
