TIFFIN -- The Heidelberg University Volleyball team was on the short end of a thrilling match with John Carroll. The Student Princes lost, 25-23, 21-25, 25-23, 28-30, 15-10. The five-setter featured 31 ties and 14 lead changes.
Grace Porter scored 18.5 points, notching three blocks and 17 kills while hitting .314.
Riley Tople had 14 kills and four total blocks.

Grace Dohanyos had an acrobatic 24 digs and 32 serve receptions.
Reagan Davis had her best showing of the season, picking up 26 receptions, three kills and four blocks.

Gabby Wolfe had nine and eight total blocks, respectively.
In the fourth set, Heidelberg staved off three match points before forcing the decisive fifth set.
John Carroll controlled the final set as the Student Princes were unable to carry the momentum gained in the fourth.
Heidelberg (11-12, 2-4) has dropped four straight OAC matches, but returns to action at Muskingum on Saturday. The match is slated for a 1 p.m. start.
