Football falls at Mount Union

ALLIANCE -- The Heidelberg University Football team was defeated by No. 5 Mount Union on Saturday, 52-10. 

Down 21-0 in the second, Trey Farris recovered a fumble in Mount Union territory. Heidelberg cashed in with a 36-yard field goal by Ethan Ramsdail

After a promising drive late in the second quarter ended with a fumble, Heidelberg trailed 35-3 at halftime.

Forcing a Mount punt late in the third, Heidelberg embarked on its best drive of the day to start the fourth. Having already converted on two third downs and a fourth down on the drive, Ithan Cholewa plunged into the end zone from five yards out. It capped a 14-play 73-yard drive. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: 
In relief of starter Alex Arledge, Ty Poorman was 9-for-11 for 102 yards … Drew Miller had 19 carries for 43 yards … Six Student Princes had at least two catches … Farris finished with 13 tackles … Dominic Regaldo and Collin Thompson both recorded a tackle for loss.

Homecoming! Heidelberg will host Muskingum at Hoernemann Stadium on Saturday. The opening kickoff is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
