TIFFIN – On Friday night, the Heidelberg University men's and women's Track and Field teams made a short trip to Tiffin University.
Liv Bean,
Riley Elliott, and the Men's 4x400 (
Tyreke Clerveau,
Tyreese Clerveau,
Carter Jones and
Alex Morgan) all enjoyed podium finishes on the night.
In her second career attempt at the Triple Jump,
Liv Bean marked second place with a distance of 10.30m. She also took fifth in the 60m Hurdles punching 9.45. Meanwhile
Riley Elliott finished third in the Long Jump with a leap of 4.45m.
The 4x400 team comprised of three freshman football players –
Tyreke Clerveau,
Tyreese Clerveau and
Carter Jones — as well as junior
Alex Morgan, finished in third place with a time of 3:44.35.
Back to action after his record breaking performance (6.91),
Jake McEntyre took 4th with a time of 6.97. He managed to shed off time from his 7.03 performance in prelims.
Two more fifth place finishers came in the 60m Hurdles,
Carter Jones (6.02) and
Liv Bean (9.45).
In the 400m, the Clerveau twins were back as Tyreese finished 5th (53.30) and Tyreke 10th (55.86).
In the Men's Long Jump,
Jarion Hayes (5.78m) was eighth and
Alex Morgan (5.77m) ninth, jumping nearly the same.
For women's shot put, the trio of
Amelia Lewin (11.71m),
Morgan Sweat (11.13m) and
Reese Recker (10.75m) were in fourth, sixth and tenth place.
On the men's side,
Adam Kauble (12.51m),
Ethan Rieman (12.19m) and
Koen Hill (11.34m) took sixth, seventh and eighth, consecutively.
Top Shot Put finishers included
Koen Hill (12.30m) in fourth,
Morgan Sweat (12.93m) with fifth,
Adam Kauble (12.13m) in sixth and
Ethan Rieman (11.25m) in seventh.
Both squads will be off a month for winter break. They will return to action Saturday, Jan. 13, as they head to Angola, Ind. for the Trine Sean Brady Alumni Invitational.
