Rain washes out second day for MGOLF

ALLIANCE, Ohio – Although rain forced the tournament into a one day event, the Heidelberg University men's golf team had a strong start to their competitive season. On Saturday, the Heidelberg University men's golf team teed off at the Mount Union Fall Invitational. 

The troupe ended with a score of 324, which would have been the fourth best score last season. 

Junior Connor VanSkyock led the team with a 77. Also a junior, Chace Boothman was closely behind carding an 80. 

Making his second appearance for the Berg was freshman Josh Ferdon, who shot 83.

Rounding out the team was the freshman and senior duo – Logan Niese and Logan Nicely, who tallied 84 and 88 respectively. 

The HU men's golf team will be at the Eagle Rock Golf Course on Saturday and Sunday for the Yellow Jacket Fall Invitational (Defiance College).
