ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Heidelberg University women's soccer team was on the road against tough competitor, Adrian College. The game ended in their second tie of the season (0-0). The Bulldogs finished in the top third of the MIAA the last two seasons.
Both teams move to 1-1-2 after tonight match.
The first half held scoreless for both teams as aggressive gameplay led to 14 total fouls and multiple injuries. Statistically, Heidelberg kept up with the Bulldogs shooting one less than Adrian (3-2) and only one shot for the opponents was on goal.
In another aggressive half, Adrian dominated, outshooting Heidelberg 12-1. Olivia Perry had the lone shot on goal for the Berg, coming in the 58th minute.
Freshman goalie Brigid Enright, led the shutout with six saves, bringing her two-game career total to seven.
Heidelberg will be back at home on Tuesday for a 4 p.m. kickoff against Oberlin.
