TIFFIN -- With a 16-1 to Capital, the Heidelberg University men's lacrosse team concluded the 2022 season on Wednesday evening. The Student Princes finished the campaign with a 1-15 record overall, 1-8 in OAC action under first-year head coach
Mark Cyron.
The Comets (7-8, 4-4) scored the first 16 goals of the contest.
Jason Mills spoiled the shutout bid with a goal in the final half-minute of play.
Jacob Brickman had a team-high three shots on the day.
Cian Howery made 20 saves, bringing his season total to 254 -- smashing the previous record of 179 saves set by
Alex Bruder in 2018. The 254 saves is also believed to be an OAC record.
Bruder led HU with 23 goals and 27 points. Mills had the most assists (10) and
Eli Allen caused a team-high 10 turnovers.
