ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Heidelberg University women's lacrosse team lost a midweek non-conference tussle at Adrian College. The Bulldogs bested The Berg, 16-6.
Down 2-0 midway through the first,
Megan Vesely put HU on the board. Briana Lloyd also scored in the first quarter, but Heidelberg trailed 5-2.
The Bulldogs outscored Heidelberg in the second 4-1, with the lone Berg goal coming from
Gianna Ricci.
The hosts dominated the third quarter, taking a 16-4 lead. The only Heidelberg goal was scored by
Sydney Shaffer.
Heidelberg (0-3) scored the only two goals of the fourth quarter, a tally by Ricci and one by
Kelly Spence.
Adrian outshot Heidelberg, 26-17. Ella Spence made six saves.
Hannah Kaplan caused two turnovers.
Heidelberg is back on the road Friday for a trip to Franciscan University.
