TIFFIN – The Heidelberg University Men's soccer team fell in their second match of the OAC season 3-0 against John Carroll University on a warm afternoon at the Hidden Valley Soccer Complex. 

Heidelberg falls to 0-11-1 (0-2 OAC) while John Carroll improves to 7-3-1 (2-0 OAC). 

In the first half of action, Heidelberg held the Blue Streaks scoreless until the 24th minute when JCU made what would end up being the game winning shot. 

Heidelberg's goalie, Sigurd Ilestad, shut out John Carroll for the remainder of the half making the score 1-0 at halftime.  

The second half of action resulted in two more goals from the opponents, finalizing the 3-0 defeat. With many unlucky and blocked shots coming from the Blue Streaks, they attempted a whopping 33 shots. 

In goal for Heidelberg, Ilestad marked 12 saves – as season second-best for the senior.  

The Student Princes will be back in action on Saturday against Mount Uinon. The home match is slated for 1 p.m. at the Hidden Valley Soccer Complex.
