BEREA, OH – The Heidelberg men's soccer team traveled to Baldwin Wallace University for a mid-week conference clash. The Berg was held scoreless in 90 minutes of play resulting in a 5-0 defeat.
Heidelberg falls to 0-14-1 (0-5 OAC) while Baldwin Wallace improves to 11-3-2 (1-3-1 OAC).
The Yellow Jackets got off to a fast start scoring their first goal just over a minute into play to make it 1-0. They would score two more goals in the half to go into the break 3-0.
In the second half of play, the Yellow Jackets would notch two more goals with one coming in the 55th minute and the other in the 77th.
Heidelberg would tally three shots on goal in the game compared to Baldwin Wallace's 19.
Both goalkeepers for the Student Princes saw action tonight with
Sigurd Ilestad getting the start notching 12 saves and
Thomas Abraham totaling one in the loss.
Heidelberg men's soccer will travel to Marietta on Saturday for their final road contest of the season. The match is set for 7 p.m.
