ADA, OH – The Heidelberg University Men's soccer team traveled to conference foe Ohio Northern on Wednesday. The Polar Bears controlled the game from the start resulting in a 6-1 defeat.
The Student Princes fall to 0-12-1 (0-4 OAC) while the Polar Bears improve to 8-2-3 (3-0-1 OAC).
Heidelberg saw themselves down 2-0 midway through the first half. That changed when
Simon Joseph received the ball from a throw-in on the left side of the field and shot one over the goalie's head for a goal to make the score 2-1. This was Joseph's first goal on the season.
Ohio Northern would notch another goal before half to make the score 3-1 at the break.
The second half was controlled by the Polar Bears as they scored three more goals en route to a 6-1 victory.

Sigurd Ilestad tallied seven saves in the loss.
Heidelberg will be back in action on Saturday as they will host Otterbein at the Hidden Valley Soccer Complex. The match is set for 1 p.m.
