TIFFIN -- The Heidelberg University men's lacrosse team returned to action with a home game against Baldwin Wallace University on Saturday afternoon. The Yellow Jackets enjoyed a 20-2 victory over the Student Princes with an advantage in shots 68-23.
Heidelberg falls to 0-8 while Baldwin Wallace improves to 9-1.Â
Connor Reese recorded 15 saves in goal.Â
Liam Weaver scored the first goal for Heidelberg with 12:20 remaining in the first quarter to tie the game at the time.Â
Baldwin Wallace scored nine unanswered goals in the second quarter to bolster its lead.Â
The Student Princes struck a goal again in the third quarter from
Alex Bruder with an assist from Weaver.Â
Weaver led Heidelberg in shooting with 11 shots on the day, including five on goal.Â
Baldwin Wallace was a perfect 20-20 on clear attempts and led in ground balls 37-24.
The Berg will travel to Capital University on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. contest with the Crusaders.Â
