TIFFIN -- The Heidelberg University golf teams competed at Mohawk Golf and Country Club over the weekend. The men's team competed in a match against Ohio Northern on Saturday while the women held a tournament on Saturday and Sunday. The men's team also competed at John Carroll University on Monday. 

Men's Golf Saturday: ONU 3   BERG 2

Chace Boothman and Connor VanSkyock picked up wins for the Student Princes in head-to-head competition. Cameron Spraggins was defeated on the 18th hole by Sam Straker of ONU. 

Women's Golf

The Student Princes finished in third place on Saturday and second place on Sunday. Maddie Huss shot a 101 to finish in 14th place while Anastasia Lindemann finished in 21st place with 116 strokes. On Sunday, Huss finished in a tie for 3rd place after shooting a 49 and Lindemann took a seventh-place with 54 shots. 

Men's Golf Monday: At John Carroll

The Student Princes finished in fifth place at JCU with 344 strokes as a team. Spraggins led Heidelberg at 40-42 for a total of 82. Boothman and VanSkyock followed with 44-40--84 and 44-44--88 respectively. Logan Nicely shot 44-46--90 and Daniel Gonzalez rounded out Heidelberg's lineup at 51-43--94, taking eight strokes off his first score. 

The Heidelberg men will be back in action at JCU again on Sunday. The women's team will return with the OAC tournament beginning on May 1st.
