WESTERVILLE -- The Heidelberg University men's soccer team remains winless in the 2020-21 season after a 1-0 overtime loss at Otterbein University on Saturday afternoon. 

The Student Princes dropped to 0-5 while the Cardinals improved to 2-2-1.

Otterbein peppered the Heidelberg goal in the second half with 11 shots and seven on goal. 

Still scoreless after 90 minutes the teams headed into overtime. Otterbein earned a corner kick in the first minute of extra time and on the resulting play Seth Smith was able to end the match with a golden goal. 

Heidelberg was out-shot 17-5. The Cardinals also took the advantage in corner kicks 11-2.

Ben Patrizi made three saves in the loss. 

The Student Princes will host Ohio Northern University on Thursday at 7 p.m. in Hoernemann Stadium.
