WILMINGTON, Ohio -- The Heidelberg University softball team was swept in a Sunday doubleheader on the road at Wilmington College. The Quakers won 3-2 in the first game and 6-4 in the second. With the wins, Wilmington won the weekend set, 3-1.

Kat Brady led HU with three hits on the day.
Brooke Lewis was the only other Student Prince with multiple hits on a day that The Berg was outhit, 22-9.
GAME ONE: WILM 3 BERG 2 (8 innings)
Down 1-0 in the third, Heidelberg took the lead with a pair of runs. Brady ignited the two-out rally with an infield single and a stolen base. She scored on a double by
Shelby Miller -- the fourth double of the series for Miller. Lewis followed with a single to center that plated Miller.
The Quakers tied the game in the bottom of the frame on a home run.
The score would remain knotted at two until a Megan Crager walk-off single in the bottom of the eighth, giving the hosts a win in the opener.
Maggie Hoffman took the loss in relief. Hoffman went 3.1 innings, scattering five hits.
Riley Cruse worked the first four innings, allowing two runs.
GAME TWO: WILM 6 BERG 4
The Quakers jumped out to an early lead -- taking control of the contest with a three-run first and a two-run second inning.
Heidelberg got on the board in the top of the third thanks to Brady once again. An infield hit, a sacrifice bunt, and wild pitch and an error sent the junior around the bases for an unearned run.
The Quakers would get that run back in the fifth, holding a 6-1 edge.
The Student Princes did not fold. Instead,they got back in the game with a three-run sixth inning.
Ryann Ramacciatti singled and stole second. She scored on an RBI single by
Leah Bouillon. A walk and two errors plated two more for HU, which now trailed 6-4.
Heidelberg had the tying runs aboard in the seventh, but was unable to find the clutch hit it needed.
Rylee Tomsic (1-1) gave up five runs in the loss, striking out two in four innings.
Caitlin Dems allowed one run in the final two frames, also striking out a pair.
UP NEXT:
OAC play continues with a four-game weekend set with Mount Union (7-1, 4-0). Saturday's twinbill is in Alliance and Sunday's is in Tiffin. Both doubleheaders are slated for a 1 p.m. first pitch.
