BEXLEY -- The Heidelberg University women's lacrosse team lost in its third straight away contest on Wednesday evening. The Student Princes were defeated by Capital University 21-2.
The Student Princes slipped to 0-5 on the season. Capital improved to 4-0.
The Crusaders scored 35 seconds into the contest and never looked back.
Dana Dudley scored the first goal for Heidelberg midway through the first half.
Leading 14-1 at halftime, Capital stretched its lead in the second frame.
Sydney Shaffer scored for the Tricolor with just under four minutes remaining in the contest.
Capital outshot the Student Princes 39-8 and led ground balls 15-7.
Mandi Phillips collected nine saves in goal for The 'Berg.
The Student Princes will be back in Hoernemann Stadium for a matchup against Otterbein on Saturday at 1 p.m.
