CLERMONT, Fla. -- The Heidelberg University Softball team limped into the off day with a pair of shutout losses in Florida. Swarthmore won, 14-0, in five innings in the opener, and Penn St. Brandywine won 5-0 in the second game. Heidelberg slipped to 3-5 on the season.
Abbie Marshall had two doubles on the day and
Cara Meyer had two base hits.
Of the 19 combined runs allowed by Heidelberg, nine were unearned.
The Softball team returns to action on Thursday, facing Suffolk at 1:30 p.m. and Penn St. Behrend at 4 p.m.
