Career Synopsis

  • The 2025-26 school year is Cooper's fourth as Director of Athletics at Heidelberg and 19th in collegiate athletics
  • Point person for athletics for largest construction project in university history, 112,000sq/ft $27.4 million Field House 
  • Received Two Year, $70,000 NCAA Women and Ethnic Minorities Grant for Department. 

2024-2025

  • Continued to be the point-person for Heidelberg Athletics
  • Began the process of adding three club sports for the 2025-26 school year (Women's Flag Football, Pickleball, and Walleye Fishing) 
  • Oversaw each fundraising effort for the department
  • Continued to serve on the NCAA Division III Membership Committee

2023-2024

  • Continued to serve as the figurehead for Heidelberg Athletics
  • Served as the point-person for the planning and preparation for the construction of the Field House
  • Oversaw all fundraising efforts for the department
  • Mentored the coaching staffs of STUNT, Swimming and Esports in their first year of intercollegiate competition
  • Implemented Women's Wrestling program and supported them for its "year zero" campaign
  • Appointed to the NCAA Division III Membership Committee

2022-2023 

  • Greatly enhanced the student-athlete experience through a number of noteworthy projects
    • Oversaw the procurement of two new 50+ passenger buses
  • Helped STUNT, Esports and men's & women's swimming navigate their "year zero" projects in preparation for the start of competition in the 2023-24 school year
  • Spearheaded Heidelberg Athletic's ongoing fundraising efforts including campaign for Heidelberg Field House
  • Helped lead committee in planning and design of 115,000sq/ft field house project

2015-2022 

  • Served as Director of Athletics and Campus Recreation at Indiana University Kokomo
  • Was the project lead on $8.5M Athletic Event Center
  • Named 2018-19 Conference Athletic Director of the Year
  • Led a multitude of successful fundraising ventures
  • Helped Kokomo add nine new athletic programs
  • Saw 90% student-athlete retention rate and 82% graduation rate

2009-2015 

  • Worked as Associate Athletic Director at St. Edwards University (Austin, Texas)
  • Oversaw baseball, volleyball and cross country programs
  • Coordinated the game day operations and directed several NCAA tournament events
2008-2009
  • Game Operations Manager at Miami University (OH)
  • Oversaw ushers, security, ticket takers and parking operations for all sports.
2007-2008
  • Graduate Assistant at Slippery Rock University
  • Managed compliance functions for 16 varsity sports
