2023-24

  •  Led the team to an eighth place finish at the NCAA Division III Central Regional Tournament, with five wrestlers finishing in the top eight.
  • Nine athletes receiving Academic All-OAC honors

2022-23

  • Led Heidelberg to a 7-7 record in dual meets
  • Team finished with a collective 3.7661 GPA, second-best in the nation
  • Four wrestlers earned NWCA Scholar All-American recognition and eight were tabbed as Academic All-OAC honorees
  • Guided TJ Rhamy (first team) and Adam Medeiros (second team) to All-OAC honors

2021-22

  • Coached Heidelberg to a 6-5 record and fourth place OAC finish
  • Led Jace Grossman, Dwight Parker and T.J. Rhamy to All-OAC honors
  • Guided six athletes to place at the NCAA Regional Tournament -- tying the program record 
  • Helped nine student-athletes to receive Academic All-OAC honors
  • Patrizi's program finished the season with the eighth-best team grades on the NWCA Top-25 GPA, with a collective 3.678

2020-21

  • Led The Berg to a 1-4 record in the truncated season 
  • Coached Devin Miller to OAC Wrester of the Year honors
  • Guided Dylan Roth to be the top ranked wrester in the 184 pound class nationally by d3wrestle.com

2019-20

  • Guided HU to a 5-12 dual record and a tie for fourth place OAC finish
  • Mentored Dylan Roth to National Qualification, a Regional Championship and first team All-OAC honors
  • Guided three wrestlers to All-Region placements
  • Oversaw the selection of three NWCA Scholar All-Americans, three Academic All-OAC recipients, and a team finish of 19th on the NWCA Academic Award charts

2018-19

  • Led the Berg to a 10-7 dual record and a fourth place OAC finish
  • Guided Dylan Roth to All-American status and the OAC's John Summa Wrestler of the Year award
  • Was intrumental in the first team All-OAC selection of two wrestlers
  • Mentored five wrestlers to All-Region accolades
  • Oversaw a team finish of 26th on the NWCA Academic Award charts, including having four NWCA Scholar All-Americans and two Academic All-OAC performers

2017-18

  • Led the Student Princes to an 8-8 record and third place OAC finish
  • Mentored two Academic All-Americans, Mason Brainard and Tyler Hammack
  • Coached National Qualifier Tyler Hammack

2016-17

  • Led the Student Princes to a second place finish in the Ohio Athletic Conference
  • Guided four wrestlers to All-OAC honors
  • Mentored freshman Dallas O'Green to the NCAA Tournament

2015-16

  • Coached Heidelberg to a sixth place finish at the NCAA Mideast Regional, including four national qualifiers
  • Mentored Justin Kihn to an All-American finish (4th) at the NCAA DIII Championships at 141
  • Freshman Dillen Decker (184) and Kihn earned 1st team All-OAC honors while Kihn was named OAC Wrestler of the Year

2014-15

  • Led the Student Princes to a third place finish at the NCAA Mideast Regional, including two national qualifiers and a school-record six regional placers
  • Guided the Berg to a 10-12 dual record (2-3 OAC) in his first season as head coach
  • Coached Richard Dowdley to an All-American finish in the 184 pound weight class
  • Mentored three NWCA Scholar All-Americans and three All-OAC wrestlers

Previous Experience

  • Served two years as a graduate assistant at Heidelberg under then-head wrestling coach Jason Miller
  • Assisted with all aspects of the program during time as a GA, including academic support and recruiting
  • Spent four years as head coach at nearby Mohawk High School
  • Coached seven state placers and 14 state qualifiers during his stint at Mohawk

Collegiate Experience

  • 2004 Heidelberg graduate
  • Named Heidelberg's first John Summa Award winner in 2004, which is given to the OAC's most outstanding wrestler
  • Two-time OAC champion (2003, 2004) at 149
  • Selected as an NWCA Scholar All-American in 2002, 2003, and 2004
  • Recipient of Heidelberg's prestigious Paul H. Hoernemann award and was the university's OAC Clyde Lamb male recipient in 2004
  • Also played varsity soccer for the Berg, earning second team All-OAC honors as a senior

Personal

  • Resides in Sycamore with his wife, Erin – a 2003 Heidelberg grad -- and their two children
  • Earned his master's degree from Heidelberg in 2011
