  • The 2026-27 season is Summey's second year with the Heidelberg basketball program
  • Summey is the 21st head coach in program history, and just the fifth since 1977. 
  • Previously served as the General Manager of the Men's Basketball program at the University of Utah

  • Coached the team to a 16-13 record, (7-9 OAC)
  • Led the Student Princes to a Conference Championship and an NCAA Tournament Appearance
  • Guided two student-athletes to All-OAC honors, and three to Academic All-OAC
  • Coached two players to the All-Tournament team

  • Assisted at Bowling Green University, ending his time there with a 21-0 season

  • Coached at Division I St. Francis (PA)
2009-13
  • Director of Basketball Operations at Division I University of Miami (Flo.)

  • Served as head coach of Division III Bethany College (WV), where he led the Bisons to a 17-win season
