Ryan Musgrave started at Heidelberg University in 2002 as the Head Men’s Athletic Trainer. Prior to coming to Heidelberg he attended Wilmington College, where he obtained a BS in Athletic Training and Sports Management. He completed his Master’s Degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Athletic Training at Indiana University where he was also Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Athletic Department. In the summer of 2019 he completed his doctorate at the University of Findlay.

Since coming to Heidelberg he has worked with football, wrestling, baseball, volleyball, and outdoor track. He currently is the Department Chair of Athletic Training and Health Science and the Master of Athletic Training Program Director. Academically he has taught numerous courses within the department and continues to do so.

Ryan Musgrave has a varied background and experience in the field of athletic training and brings a tremendous amount of educational diversity to the Athletic Training Program and the Health Science Major. Ryan has worked with professional athletes and Olympians to high school and junior high students. From his time working in these settings, he is able to bring valuable experiences into the classroom and clinical setting, not only benefiting the athletic training students, but also the student-athletes at Heidelberg.

Ryan currently resides outside of Tiffin with his wife, Jennifer, and their daughter Emma.
