Biography

TIFFIN—Seniors Joe Conduah and Seth Hothem have been named to the 2000 GTE/CoSIDA Academis All-America College Division Men's Spring At-Large National Team announced today by Millsport.

Conduah earned first-team accolades while Hothem took home second-team honors. Heidelberg was one of five schools to represented twice on first or second-team, joining Emory, Rensselaer Institute of Technology, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Hawaii-Pacific.

Conduah, a resident of Madison, Wisc., and graduate of Concord (NH) Senior High School, earned his second GTE/CoSIDA first-team selection of his senior year after taking home first-team accolades during the football season. Conduah earned the OAC Clyde Lamb Award, the first male in 'Berg history to earn this honor. He graduated in May after majoring in computer information systems and business administration.

Hothem, a resident of Fresno, Ohio, and graduate of River Valley High School, earns his first appearance on a GTE Academic All-America team. He graduated from Heidelberg in May with a degree in environmental biology and water resources. Hothem has been a five-time United State Track Coaches Association All-American in cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field. Hothem was named co-Jim Wuske OAC Track Athlete of the Year at the 1999 OAC outdoor championships.

Men's Spring At-Large College Division Team is selected by members of CoSIDA and is for non-Div. I athletes and includes athletes from lacrosse, track, gold, tennis, and volleyball.

The 'Berg Track and Field team, under the direction of OAC Coach of the Year Larry Brown, won the OAC championship for the second consecutive season and finished 29th in the nation taking home All-American accolades.
