OBERLIN, Ohio -- The Heidelberg University Men's Soccer team fell to Oberlin College 4-2 after 90 minutes of fighting.
In the first minute, Oberlin scored their first goal. Sophomore midfielder,
Travis Everett, responded two minutes later. Everett buried the ball into the upper right corner off of an assist by freshman
Greg Sisamis – his career first.
Oberlin went on to score three more goals in the first half. Heidelberg scored the lone second-half goal in the 65th minute.
Jalen Ball played freshman
Donovan Abbott right outside of the box. Using his right foot, Donovan placed the ball into the lower left corner of the net, bringing the score to 4-2. Despite the fight until the last minute, Berg could not find the back of the net again.
Heidelberg recorded 13 shots, six of which were on goal.
Junior
Xochiel Galvan recorded five saves over 90 minutes in goal for 'Berg, bringing his season total to 24.
Heidelberg will return to the road next Wednesday, Sept. 23rd at Bluffton University. The Student Princes will kickoff at 3 p.m.
