TIFFIN, Ohio -- The Heidelberg University Men's Soccer team fell to Capital University, 3-1. After a promising first half, The Berg was unable to hold back the Comets in the second.
The Student Princes found the back of the net first, 25 minutes into the first half. Senior
Hassen Faraj was able to fight his way into the box, up the left side from the 20-yard line. Freshman
Elliott Agyekum connected with Faraj's cross at the center of the goal, burying it past the keeper in the top left corner.
The Comets responded in the 37th minute. In the second half, Capital scored twice off of their six shots. The 'Berg had three chances, but was unable to finish.
Capital outshot Heidelberg, 17-7.
Xochiel Galvan recorded four saves over 90 minutes.
The Student Princes will return to Hoernemann Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 10th for a senior day doubleheader against Muskingum University. The men will kick off at 1 p.m.
