WESTERVILLE -- The Heidelberg University Men's Wrestling team went 1-2 at the OAC Quad Dual on Saturday. The Student Princes opened with a 36-16 victory over host Otterbein before closing with losses to Baldwin Wallace and Mount Union.

In the win over the Cardinals, Lee Woods started the match with a third-period pin.  Colin Hering followed with an 8-0 major decision. Otterbein got on the board at 141, but Drew Miller erased their momentum with an 18-1 tech at 149.  HU led at the midway point, 15-12.

At 165, Travis Richardson picked up an important six points with a first-period pin. With his team ahead 21-16, 184-pounder Owen Frizzell made quick work of his opponent. The 52-second stick put HU up 11. Landon Cook clinched the win with a 58-second pin at 197. For good measure, Luke Chambers closed the match with a 4-0 win at 285 -- the only bout not to include bonus points.

After being shutout by perennial power BW, Miller had the lone win for Heidelberg against Mount Union.

Heidelberg heads west next weekend, traveling to the Pete Willson - Wheaton Invitational.
