WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Two Heidelberg University Volleyball players earned All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors, as announced by the league on Thursday.
Sophia Simon was named to the Second Team, while
Kaitlyn Uffman received Honorable Mention recognition.
Simon, a sophomore, delivered an impressive campaign, totaling 390 points while averaging 2.42 kills per set and contributing 112 blocks. Earlier this season, she was named OAC Athlete of the Week following her standout 29-kill performance against John Carroll — the most in Heidelberg's 25-point rally scoring era.
Uffman, a senior, turned in an outstanding season, totaling 355 points while averaging 2.38 kills per set and recording 115 blocks. Her consistent play on both offense and defense helped anchor the team's front line, earning her the first all-conference honor of her career.
Heidelberg Volleyball has had at least two All-OAC honorees in 19 of the last 20 seasons.
