While the Student Princes won with a score of two, they did not score both. On a Heidelberg free kick toward the Tomcat goalie, a Thiel player jumped up in attempt to stop the ball. Instead, he headed it past his own goalie to tie it up 1-1. Just ten minutes prior, the Tomcats scored the first goal of the game to take the short-lived lead.

What would be the winning goal came from Focinos in the 62nd minute on an assist from Hussein Faraj
