TIFFIN -- The Heidelberg University men's soccer team hosted non-conference foe Wooster in a midweek clash at the Hidden Valley Soccer Complex. Unfortunately, the Student Princes were unable to garner any offense, resulting in a 5-0 defeat.
The Fighting Scots (1-3-2) controlled the game from the first kick. Wooster led in time of possession on the afternoon, controlling the ball 59% of the time to Heidelberg's 41%. The visitors found the back of the net twice in the first half of play and three times in the second half.
Thomas Abraham made his first start of the season for Heidelberg (0-4-1), totaling eight saves in the loss to the Fighting Scots. Wooster tallied 29 shots on goal compared to the home squad's seven.
Heidelberg returns to action on Saturday as they will host Westminster. Kickoff is slated for 3 p.m following the women's game.
