TIFFIN, Ohio – The Heidelberg University men's soccer team hosted Wilmington on Senior Day, but the Quakers offense was too much for the home squad, resulting in a 8-0 defeat.
Heidelberg finishes the season 0-17-1 (0-9 OAC) while Wilmington finishes 10-5-3 (4-2-2 OAC).
Prior to the game, seniors Thomas, Luke, Josh, Tyler, Ethan, and Andre were all honored.
In the first 23 minutes of action, it was all defense for both sides. But, the visitors would capitalize on offense in the 24th minute to take a 1-0 lead.
Wilmington would net three more in the half to take a 4-0 lead into the break.
The Quakers came out firing in the second half when Brady Vilvens dropped one in goal from well outside the box to make it 5-0 just 30 seconds into play.

Thomas Abraham had a nice diving save on a Wilmington PK.
Wilmington would add three more goals in the half and take the victory 8-0.
Both goalkeepers for Heidelberg saw action with
Sigurd Ilestad totaling seven saves and Abraham with six in the loss.
