Box Score LIMA, Ohio -- The Heidelberg University volleyball team was stunned in a five-set setback at the University of Northwestern Ohio.  The Berg took the first two sets, but dropped the next three -- losing 14-25, 20-25, 25-20, 25-21, 15-10.

Liana Petitti had 12 kills to pace the attack, hitting .225 for the match. Julianna Pena had 25 assists.  Defensively, Sarah Oney tallied 19 digs.

Heidelberg raced out to an 8-2 over the Racers in the opening set, aided by three attack errors from the host.  UNOH crept back within three points before a 6-0 run by HU extended their lead to 17-7.  The Student Princes closed the set on a 6-1 run, punctuated by three straight aces by Maddie Szawranskyj.

UNOH held control throughout much of the second set, but Heidelberg managed to come to life late.  HU ended the set with an 11-3 run, turning a 17-14 deficit into a 25-20 win.  Kills by Sadie Estle accounted for three of the final four points.

From there, the Racers turned the corner and sped away.  UNOH never let the Student Princes hold momentum for extended stretches in the final three sets en route to a come-from-behind victory.

Conference again begins on Saturday as Heidelberg travels to Wilmington for a tri-match.  HU will battle the Quakers -- led by former 'Berg assistant coach Sophie Windover -- at 1 p.m. before taking on Adrian College at 3 p.m.
