ALLIANCE -- The Heidelberg University women's lacrosse team is still searching for its first win of the season after a 20-3 loss at Mount Union on Saturday.
Mandi Phillips made 13 saves in the loss.
Heidelberg slipped to 0-3 on the season. Mount Union moved to 2-0.
Mount Union led 8-0 before Heidelberg got on the board.
Kelly Spence scored her second goal of the season off a feed from
Megan Vesely with 5:53 remaining before halftime.
Down 11-1 at halftime,
Dana Dudley and
Brianna Lloyd scored goals in the second half.
Mount Union outshot the Student Princes, 45-10, and held a 10-2 edge in free position attempts.
The Student Princes return to the road on Wednesday for their third-straight match away from Hoernemann Stadium. The game with Ohio Northern is slated for a 7 p.m. start.
