CINCINNATI -- For the fourth straight game to start the season, the Heidelberg University men's soccer team shut out its opponent.  On Sunday, Jake Kress and company beat Mount St. Joseph, 4-0.  Kiki Alvarado had two assists in the win.

Heidelberg stays unbeaten, 4-0 overall, while MSJ sinks to 2-5-1.  

Cory Gilbert put Heidelberg on top early, netting his second goal of the season.  His tally came 106 seconds into the match.  

In the 29th minute, Joseph Tallarico scored off a feed from Alvarado.

After halftime, it took Heidelberg 115 seconds to score -- coming off a header by Chase Paulson, assisted by Alvarado.

The Student Princes were able to handle MSJ throughout the second half.  

Jacob Salogar put an exclamation point on the win with his first collegiate goal.  It came in the 87th minute.

Kress made five saves, running his consecutive scoreless streak up to 360 minutes this season. 

A tough task awaits the Student Princes.  On Thursday, they will travel to Gambier to battle Kenyon (4-1-2).  Game time is schedule for 5:15 p.m.
