Volleyball clinches No. 5 seed

WILMINGTON, Ohio -- Controlling the tempo from the start, the Heidelberg University volleyball team picked up a commanding win over Wilmington College. The squad won in straight sets -- 25-14, 25-12, 25-17 to conclude regular season action.

Four days after an outstanding night at Capital, Morgan Strenk continued her hot hitting. The junior tallied 11 kills on 21 attempts -- good for a .476 attack percentage.

Rachel Stroski had a team-high 13 kills. Sophomore setter Anna McNabb added 43 assists in the victory.

Taylor Valentine, the reigning OAC Player of the Week, finished the day with a .381 hitting percentage (nine kills).

As a team, the Student Princes attacked at a stout .423 clip

Rachel Raimondo and Sydney Moore anchored the back row for the Berg. Raimondo's 21 digs were good for a team-high, as Moore added 13.

The team wraps up regular season action with a 16-11, 6-3 record.

Heidelberg has clinched the No. 5 spot in next week's OAC Tournament. The team travels to No. 4 Muskingum University for a 7 p.m. match on Tuesday.
