Box Score ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Following a tough conference loss on Tuesday, the Heidelberg University men's soccer team rebounded to defeat Mount Union 3-0. HU improves to 5-6 overall, 2-1 OAC. The Purple Raiders slip to 2-6-3, 0-3 OAC.
Greg Raimondo got the Student Princes on the board in the 29th minute. The senior scored his first goal of the season off a pass from Kiki Alvarado.
The Berg added to their lead in the 66th minute when sophomore Kyle Diaz netted a goal. Diaz capitalized on a corner kick served into the box from Alvarado. The score was Diaz's third of the year.
With six minutes remaining, Rodrigo Meza secured HU's victory with his fourth goal of the season -- assisted by Porus Shroff.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
Alex Archambeau got the nod in goal for the Student Princes. He made four saves, picking up the clean sheet. MTU's Dylan Lias also made four saves in the match.
HU outshot the Purple Raiders 12-8. The two teams combined for 21 fouls.
The Berg has now won three straight games against Mount Union.
