Box Score WILMINGTON, Ohio -- The Heidelberg University men's soccer team fell in its final regular season contest, dropping a 4-1 decision at Wilmington. With the loss, Heidelberg drops to the No. 5 seed in next week's six-team Ohio Athletic Conference tournament. The Student Princes travel to Marietta College on Monday for the opening round.
Heidelberg ends the regular season with a 7-9-1 overall record and a 4-4-1 mark in the OAC. Wilmington's season ends at 5-11-2 (2-7 OAC).
The Quakers led 2-0 at halftime and moved out to a 3-0 lead early in the second half.
Joseph Tallarico put the Tricolor on the board in the 61st minute, cleaning up a loose ball in the penalty area off a free kick by CoSIDA Academic All-Region honoree Greg Raimondo.
Unable to find the net again, Heidelberg conceded another goal in the 77th minute.
The Student Princes outshot the Quakers, 14-11.
Goalkeeper Alex Archambeau made four saves in the loss.
