HOW IT HAPPENED

The home team struck first. Alex Komartz crossed a ball to Tristan Bentley who flew down the right sideline for a breakaway. Bentley beat HU goalkeeper Alex Archambeau with a strike to the far post, putting Capital ahead 1-0.

Alexis Mendoza scored the equalizer for the Tricolor with his fifth goal of the season. Greg Raimondo served a free kick into the box, which was headed out by a Capital defender. The ball found the head of Rodrigo Meza, and Mendoza got a head on the ball in the air and sent it past Capital goalkeeper Jason Niswonger.

In the 49th minute, Jay Sato flew down the right sideline, feeding a ball into the top of the box. Chugh used a nifty spin move to get past a Capital defender, and hammered the ball into the lower right corner with his left foot.

Minutes later, Tallarico added a crucial insurance goal for the Student Princes. Tallarico capitalized on a misplayed ball by the Crusader defense. He broke through the defenders, forcing Niswonger to come out of the box. Tallarico launched a shot past Niswonger, giving HU a 3-1 edge.

With the game well in hand, Tallarico struck again, footing the ball past Niswonger from the right side.
