Box Score TIFFIN, Ohio - Men's basketball played a stellar first half of basketball against the Baldwin Wallace Yellow Jackets. Unfortunately, the Yellow Jackets offense soared passed the Student Princes in the second half to push the Berg men to a 74-57 loss.
The Heidelberg University men's basketball team celebrated Senior Night as three Student Princes; Mike Petrie, Lee Renner and Keith Mackie, who played their final contests in Seiberling Gymnasium.
On Senior Night, two sophomores shined for the Heidelberg men.
Sophomore guard Deonte Holder led the Berg men in the loss with a 16-point performance. Holder shot nine of ten from the free throw line, tallied two assists and pulled down two rebounds to lead the Student Princes offensively.

The Student Princes only trailed by four at the half, 33-29, after maintaining a comfortable lead on the Yellow Jackets throughout the first half. Baldwin Wallace roared out of the locker room to open up the second half with an 11-4 run in the first 6:30 minutes.
The Yellow Jackets kept their double digit lead for the remainder of the game to send the Berg men to their 15th OAC loss of the year.
As the playoff picture begins to take shape with the conclusion of the regular season this Saturday, the Berg has a slim chance to make the OAC Tournament. Although there is a slim chance, the Berg does not control their own destiny.
With a Heidelberg victory over the Otterbein Cardinals on Saturday, February 22, and a Muskingum loss, the Student Princes are in to the tournament. If Muskingum, who hosts Baldwin Wallace, wins regardless of a 'Berg victory, the Student Princes will be out of playoff contention.
"Our tournament starts on Saturday," proclaimed Bucheit.
Currently, the 'Berg men and Cardinals are tied at 2-15 in the OAC. It is a must win for the Student Princes as they travel to Bexley, Ohio on Saturday to battle the Cardinals at 7:30 p.m.
With a victory and a little help, the Student Princes will extend their season by at least one more game.
