Box Score NEW CONCORD - Continuing their impressive streak of success, the Heidelberg University volleybal team swept Muskingum to move their winning streak to seven matches.
The Student Princes pulled away in the first set, winning 25-18 to open things up. The second and third sets would be battles, with Heidelberg coming out on top by scores of 25-23 and 27-25.
Sarah Parker led the Heidelberg attack with 12 kills, while Jamie Kluding added on eight. Sarah Botts recorded seven kills in the match with a .500 hitting percentage.
Stephanie Romie had another solid day as a setter, picking up 36 assists to lead the way, while she also led the team defensively with 21 digs. Megan Mills and Jubilee Haase were close behind with 19 and 16 digs, respectively.
Mariah Sullivan racked up five blocks on the day to lead the team while Parker added on four.
Following the victory, the Student Princes improved to 14-10 overall, including a 3-1 mark in Ohio Athletic Conference action. Their next match will be on Tuesday, October 14, when they come back home to face John Carroll. That match is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. in Seiberling Gymnasium.
