ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Heidelberg University men's soccer team lost 1-0 at Mount Union on Saturday in the regular season finale. The two teams will meet for a rematch in the opening round of the OAC tournament, which starts Monday.

Heidelberg (10-7, 4-5 OAC) finished tied with Otterbein for sixth in the OAC, but advance to the tournament because of a head-to-head win over the Cardinals.

Mount Union (11-8, 6-3 OAC) scored the game's only goal in the 31st minute. Chris Motley beat HU goalkeeper Matthew Stevens off a feed from Thomas Beck. Stevens made five saves.

Of Heidelberg's nine shots, only two were on goal. Tyler Eoff and Hamid Shariff each tallied two shots.

Monday's playoff game in Alliance is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start. The winner will face John Carroll on Wednesday.
