2023-2024
  • Coached Heidelberg to their fourth consecutive winning season, including an OAC tournament quarterfinal victory over Capital. 
  • Team finished 16-11 overall, 11-7 within the conference. 
  • Coached Eric Panning to the OAC Defensive Player of the Year Award. 
  • Helped Isaiah Young win the Clyde Lamb Award
  • Team finished with four Academic All-OAC athletes. 

2022-23

  • Led the Student Princes to another exceptional season, which included an upset of No. 2 Mount Union
  • Team finished 19-8 overall, 13-5 in the OAC
  • Helped team reach 19 wins for just the fourth time in program history
  • Mentored three All-OAC performers -- Isaiah Young (second team), Seth Hohman (second team) and Emmanuel Perdue (honorable mention)
  • Landed five players on the Academic All-OAC honor roll

2021-22

  • Coached Heidelberg to the fifth-best record in program history 18-8 (12-5 OAC) -- the most wins in a season since 2008, 23-6 (14-4 OAC) 
  • Guided the program to their fourth NCAA tournament appearance
  • Helped senior Dylan Woods earn the Clyde Lamb Award
  • Led Isaiah Young to OAC Freshman of the Year honors, Emmanuel Perdue to his second All-OAC honor, and Dylan Woods to an All-OAC nomination -- only the second player in program history to accolades four times. 
  • Mentored seven student-athletes to academic All-OAC 

2020-21

  • Guided HU to a 9-3 (9-2 OAC) record in the shortened season
  • Named 2020-21 OAC Coach of the Year
  • Led Dylan Woods, Alex Arellano and Emmanuel Perdue to All-OAC honors
  • Coached six student-athletes to academic All-OAC recognition

2019-20

  • Spearheaded the Student Princes to a 12-15 (9-9 OAC) record, including at least one win over each of the OAC opponents 
  • Achieved first career tournament win at Baldwin Wallace on February 25, 2020
  • Handed nationally ranked Mount Union their only OAC loss of the season on January 4, 2020
  • Guided Tamal Watkins and Dylan Woods to All-OAC selections
  • Mentored three to Academic All-OAC honors

2018-19

  • Led Heidelberg to an 8-18 (6-12 OAC) record
  • Guided Myron Prewitt to NABC All-Region accolades and into the 1,000 point club
  • Mentored two athletes to All-OAC and Academic All-OAC honors

2017-18

  • Coached the Student Princes to a record of 11-15 (7-11 OAC)
  • Mentored two athletes to Academic All-OAC honors
  • Guided Kiere Bennie and Myron Prewitt to All-OAC accolades
  • Helped Chris Moxley score his 1,000th career point

2016-17

  • Led the Berg to an 11-15 record, including a 7-11 mark in conference play
  • Helped HU to its third straight OAC Tournament berth
  • Guided Kiere Bennie to his 1,000th point and his third straight All-OAC selection
  • Mentored sophomore Myron Prewitt to academic all-conference accolades

2015-16 

  • Coached the Student Princes to a 14-12 (9-9 OAC) record, their first winning season since 2009-10
  • Led HU to an upset win over then #23 Mount Union, 87-70, the Berg's first win over a ranked team since 2011
  • Guided Heidelberg to a season sweep of Capital, their first since 1996-97
  • Sophomore guard Kiere Bennie was named 2nd team All-OAC

2014-15 

  • Led Heidelberg to an 11-15 record, going 7-11 in the OAC
  • Coached Kiere Bennie, the OAC's co-Freshman of the Year
  • Team knocked off previously unbeaten Carnegie Mellon on the road on 1/3
  • Guided Student Princes to first win over Capital since 2008

2013-14

  • Fighting injuries, Bucheit's squad gritted out a 7-18 record, 3-15 in the OAC during his first season at Heidelberg
  • Guard Deonte Holder was named second team All-OAC

2008-13

  • Worked as an assistant coach at Marietta College
  • Helped take Pioneers from last place to first place in span of three seasons
  • Promoted to associate head coach for 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons
  • Pioneers won first OAC regular season crown in 36 years, won two OAC tournaments and made a run to the Division III Sweet 16

2006-08

  • Served as a graduate assistant for men's basketball at Ashland University
  • Earned master's degree in sports education

2005-06

  • Worked as an assistant coach at Wittenberg University
  • Tigers went 30-4, finished as NCAA Division III runner-up
