ADRIAN, Michigan -- The Heidelberg University Men's Wrestling team finished the Adrian College Open with 10 placers. The event was highlighted by third-place performances by
Drew Miller and
Austin Dipzinski.
Miller went 5-1 at 149, losing his first bout before reeling off five straight. Two of the wins came via pin. Dipzinski was 3-1 at 174, notching two pins and a major.
Colin Hering finished fourth at 133, going 3-2. His run included two pins and a major.
At 141,
Maddox Cade took fifth. He was 4-2, with all four wins coming via pins.
Layne Settle had a similar run at 174, picking up all three of his wins by pin and finishing fifth.
Luke Chambers was seventh at 285, going 2-2.
Travis Richardson (165),
Josh Cornell (133),
Lamar Freeman (141) and
Aaron Cole (149) all took home eighth-place finishes.
Heidelberg returns to the mats on Saturday at the Spartan Mat Classic at Manchester University.
