WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Heidelberg University Cross Country competed in the OAC Championships hosted at Otterbein Saturday morning. The women's team placed 5th and the men's placed 7th. Both teams improved from the 2024 championship. Last year, the women placed 8th, and men 8th.
Vanessa Shanaman finished in 15th and earned Second Team All-OAC – the first time a Student Prince has earned All-Conference since Isabel Chaney ('22).
Shanaman was the first runner to cross the finish line for 'Berg, with a time of 23:23.
Lauren Hall (24:37),
Maddy McCall (24:44), Addie Horner (25:02), and
Emma Hintze (25:09) followed behind to round off the top five.
Sophomore
Tyler Huff crossed the finish line first with a time of 26:33.
Dean Morrison (26:41), was the first freshman to cross the line, followed behind with
Trenton Hole (26:57.2) and
Thomas Katsares (26:57.3) neck and neck.
Hudson Black rounds off the top five for HU at 27:37.
