VB to host Community Day

TIFFIN, Ohio — The Heidelberg University volleyball team will host Community Day on Saturday, Oct. 11, inviting all members of the Tiffin area to Seiberling Gymnasium as the Student Princes take on Marietta College. The first serve is scheduled for 1 p.m.

Heidelberg (12-10) will face off against Marietta (10-4), one of the top 25-ranked teams in NCAA Division III volleyball.

As part of the celebration, Heidelberg is inviting first responders, volunteers, and all who help make the community strong to attend and be recognized for their service. Tiffin Mayor Lee Wilkinson will perform the ceremonial first serve.

Families are encouraged to attend; any children under 12 will receive free admission, and there will be a poster-making station for kids to create and show their spirit during the match.

"We're excited to welcome the Tiffin community to campus and show our appreciation for their ongoing support," said Kellyn Kennedy, the volleyball graduate assistant and organizer. "We're looking forward to a fun day of competition and connection".

Local businesses are also invited to participate in a vendor showcase set up in the lobby. For any questions or anyone interested in reserving a table can contact Kellyn Kennedy at kkenned1@heidelberg.edu
