TIFFIN – Heidelberg University Men's soccer player
Hussein Faraj was named Ohio Athletic Conference Player of the Week on Monday.
Faraj scored his first two career goals against Geneva on Wednesday to help Heidelberg knock off the Golden Tornadoes. Later, Heidelberg remained unbeaten on the week with a draw against Oberlin on Saturday.
Faraj's first goal came on a break away where he was one-on-one with the goalkeeper and chipped it over his head for the goal. His second came from just outside the box, when he blistered one off his right foot that found the top right corner of the net.
This is the senior's first time receiving the conference honor.
Heidelberg will be back in action on Saturday as they open up conference play against Muskingum at Hidden Valley.
