RESULTS

ALLIANCE -- The Heidelberg University track and field teams competed at the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships hosted by Mount Union.  The women's team finished eighth and the men's team took 10th.

The men's 4x400 relay capped the day with an All-OAC finish.  Alex Morgan, Jonah Schneider, Jalen Trammell and Mitch Luken teamed up for a third-place finish, clocking a 3:36.85.

The women's 4x200 finished eighth with a time of 1:53.28.  The team was composed of Tomea Abbitt, Liv Bean, Mackenzie Murray, and Lexi Wachtman.

The men's 4x200 team did not finish when a spectator inadvertently knocked down Trammell.  The women's 4x400 team was disqualified because one of the 'Berg runners stepped on the line.

"The scoreboard didn't tell the whole story, but the men's 4x4 team snagging All-OAC honors made the rough day sting a little less," said Head Coach Brian Grime. "We'll be ready to go for outdoor."

FROM FRIDAY:
Heidelberg placed three in the women's long jump.  Liv Bean and Ariana Coleman had identical marks of 5.42 meters, which landed Bean in third and Coleman in fourth with tiebreakers.  Lexi Wachtman took seventh with a mark of 5.15 meters.

Half Kenzies, half not Kenzies, the women's distance medley relay finished sixth.  Kenzie Fountain, Tomea Abbitt, Caitlyn Mauger, and Kenzie Allsop combined for a time of 13:52.23.

The men's DMR team, without anyone named Kenzie, also took sixth. Nathan Jimenez, Sean Smith, Trevor Hawkins and Mitch Luken ran the race in 11:07.56.

Though she didn't finish in the top eight, pole vaulter Mackenzie Murray broke her own school record, clearing 2.92 meters on her third try.
